NEWSFLASH Hawaii... Television Actor Joanna Cameron has died of complications caused by a stroke. She was 70. Time passes so quickly. I recall those Saturday afternoon's in the s'70s watching the Mighty Isis down in my basement. Just Joanna and myself in all her beauty wearing her Egyptian outfit instead of working at my Father's Boiler shop. Like most teenage boys we found her quite ravishing. Television executives also saw her marketability hiring her for a wide range of commercials from pantyhose to Midas mufflers. TV movie starts out with three malcontents awaiting sentencing in a small jail. Bailiff Van Patten is about to cuff the prisoners but is overtaken by the evil three as they escape to the hills. The next scene shows a handsome couple kissing on a blanket with a countryside backdrop. The lovely Joanna in all her glorious beauty. Our escapees lead by Kurt (Nicholas Hanmond) arrive on motorcycles and abduct Joanna and Boyfriend as they order them into there own van back to their residence, a nearby Sorority house. Upon arrival, the house also is inhabited by two other women and a boyfriend. The three escaped prisoners hold the cast of Sorority members hostage. Oh, did I mention the third escapee was a woman? A very HIGH STRUNG woman named Janice (Kathleen Lloyd). Being that her lover Kurt is the leader of the three who is making eyes at Joanna in her white mini skirt. Just a matter of time for a climactic cat fight. Fine performances from the stoic house mother played by Martha Scott. A physical and agitated Kathleen Lloyd adds to the chaos in the house. Veteran actor Dick Van Patten plays a wimpy policeman. Not a flattering role to boost his career. I rated this feature a 2 out of ten because Joanna's legs, which I enjoyed gazing upon.
