In this odd film, Victor the vampire is talking with a priest about his wanting to rid himself of his need for blood. It seems he's fallen for a girl and doesn't want to kill her, so he's been working hard trying to reverse his curse. However, there is a demon that follows him about and taunts him--telling him he'll never be rid of it. In a cool twist at the end, he is able to rid himself, somewhat, but at a high cost indeed! This is an exceptionally nice looking and professional short film. However, unlike most shorts, it looks more like a lengthy teaser for a full-length film that has yet to be made. I assume by watching it that the people behind the film made this in order to sell the idea to a studio or other backers, but it has yet to materialize. It's a shame, too, as the film is very slick and introduces a lot of neat ideas into the vampire genre. I'd sure watch the finished product! Also, there are some very steamy scenes--this isn't a vampire short for the kids!
