Interesting miniseries deals with Argentine history
Andy-29625 January 2015
A miniseries made in 1980 by Argentina's public television about a crucial period of Argentine history when the country was organized and given a constitution after several decades of civil war. It was well received at the time, though like many works done for television, quite forgotten by now. Rodolfo Ranni is the main figure as President Justo de Urquiza, who defeated the Rosas dictatorship in the battle of Caseros and started the organization and modernization of the country. Many other well Argentine actors appear as well. This well made for its time, and it was also an ambitious undertaking, it had a high budget for the time, though it's easy to see now its low production values.
