To celebrate the release of Something In The Water, the new thriller that hits UK shores this week, we had the pleasure of chatting with the cast and director as they take the big plunge.
When Meg attends the wedding of old friend Lizzie with fellow pals Cam, Ruth, and former partner Kayla, an emotional reunion turns into an epic battle for survival in the Caribbean.
Chatting to the cast of ladies and director Hayley Easton-Street we talk about the challenges of shooting on water and why so many filmmakers have said never to do it, being in the water and the endurance of it, the female friendship at the centre of the film, the shark hunting them and what it really represents, the brilliance of S-Club 7 (you’ll find out when you watch it) and much more in-between.
You can watch our interviews below:

Mr. Big have released the video for “Up on You” — the second single from their forthcoming album Ten, out July 12th.
The track is an accomplished hard-rock strutter bolstered by crystal-clear production and the ace performances typical of Mr. Big. The band has some fun with a descending scale and some pop flare in the chorus, while singer Eric Martin exercises his impressive vocal range throughout the track.
Meanwhile, the music video lets us in on a Mr. Big concert staple — the ol’ “Switcheroo” — where the band trade instruments at the end of the set. In the case of this clip, all four members of the band are seen playing each instrument and singing.
As Martin explained: “I’m on bass, Billy sings, Nick plays guitar and Paul rocks the drums… it’s a lot of fun and the crowd goes wild. So the concept for the video was simple:...

Despite Bob Iger’s recent announcement that the MCU will produce fewer new projects, we still have many shows to look forward to that started before the strikes.
One of these is a live-action adaptation of ‘Wonder Man,’ based on the comic book character. The show faced many delays and was rumored to be canceled several times over the past few years. Recently, it was confirmed that the show is still happening, so we decided to summarize everything we know about it so far.
‘Wonder Man’ will follow the story of a stuntman who hits a rough patch
The show will focus on Simon Williams, an actor and stuntman who gains superpowers and becomes a superhero known as Wonder Man. It is described as “Hollywood satire.”
In the comics, Simon Williams is the son of a wealthy industrialist whose business struggles due to competition with Stark Industries. To save the family business,...

The recent PlayStation State of Play showcased several original titles, with Where Winds Meet being one that stood out to many. While everyone is waiting for Elden Ring’s upcoming Dlc this month, the Soulslike genre is growing at a rapid rate, with new entrants popping up almost every month.
The trailer by Everstone Studio has shown a lot of inspiration from Hidetaka Miyazaki’s genre while adding some new elements, and exciting players who enjoy the Wuxia experience. If the studio can blend the best parts of both genres, we may have a Game of the Year contender on our hands.
Where Winds Meet Looks Like an Amalgamation of Elden Ring and Sekiro Where Winds Meet is going to offer a visceral martial arts experience.
One of the most notable aspects of FromSoftware titles is the desire to push the envelope and introduce new mechanics to every new game.

Mr. Big have announced their 10th studio album, simply titled Ten, which arrives July 12th.
The hard rock vets also offered up lead single “Good Luck Trying.” The song is built around a strutting blues riff from guitarist Paul Gilbert and unfurls at a fast pace. If the verses carry a heavy Led Zeppelin vibe, then the slowed-down chorus is more Bad Company, opening up space for frontman Eric Martin’s strong vocal delivery.

“Overall, it’s about being overwhelmed with life, and realizing that you won’t win many of the battles, but still fighting to the end,” stated Gilbert on the lyrics. “And keeping a sense of humor about it by saying to anyone nearby, ‘Wish me good luck trying!'”

Nashville was once famously called a ‘ten year town,’ because that’s about how long an artist has to make it there. Maggie Rose has been at it longer than that. Finally, she had enough. In 2018, with her aptly titled LP Change the Whole Thing, Rose threw up her hands and began making...

On the 4th of July 2016 Iranian filmmaker, producer, author and poet Abbas Kiarostami died in Paris. While he did not receive the same kind of recognition in his home country Iran as he did in the rest of world, his body of work is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful in the history of cinema. Numerous authors have interpreted the various layers of meaning within his features, but perhaps one of the most intriguing aspects of his works is the way he uses landscape. While many directors uses landscape, rural or urban, as the background for the story or the characters, Kiarostami has continued to explore means to use landscape as a means to not just tell a story, but to enhance it, which he perfected throughout his career. In the following, we will take a look at a few examples within his wide filmography emphasizing this very point.

This post contains spoilers for the "Doctor Who" 60th Anniversary Special "The Giggle."
When the news broke that Russell T. Davies would be returning to "Doctor Who" for the first time in more than a decade, there was a lot to be excited for and a lot be worried about. Davies had a great original run, arguably the best of the three modern showrunners, but his plot resolutions often left a bit to be desired. He had a tendency to throw all logic and continuity out the window for the sake of a happy ending, like in the "Doctor Who" season 4 finale where the Doctor managed to withhold his regeneration by basically transferring his regenerative energy into a severed hand of his, creating a clone of himself.
This all served the purpose of giving former companion Rose a happy ending. She got to live with the clone Doctor in her own alternate universe,...

[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for the third Doctor Who 60th anniversary special, “The Giggle.”] “I don’t want to go,” David Tennant’s (Tenth) Doctor said when he regenerated into Matt Smith’s (Eleventh) on Doctor Who in 2010, and now, once again, we don’t want to say goodbye to him (especially after only three specials). But hey, we do get Ncuti Gatwa as the Fifteenth Doctor — and in quite the twist! But first, before we get to Tennant’s latest regeneration scene — following Nine to Ten, the “Journey’s End” fake-out thanks to the hand he channeled the excess energy into, Ten to Eleven, and Thirteen to Fourteen — The Doctor has one last game to play, against the Toymaker (Neil Patrick Harris). It all begins in Soho in 1925, with the puppet Stooky Bill John Logie Baird’s employee buys from the Toymaker’s shop for the inventor to use in his attempt to prove the television works.

The rumours have proved to be true and Loki scribe Michael Waldron has been named as the new writer on the next Avengers movie.
A couple of weeks ago we covered a story that reported that Destin Daniel Cretton had exited the director’s chair of Marvel Studio’s upcoming Avengers: The Kang Dynasty.
Following the film being pushed back by a year into 2026, the Shang-Chi And The Legend Of The Ten Rings director left the role, probably because he has other Marvel commitments including a Shang-Chi sequel and directing and executive producing duties on the Wonder Man TV show.
When that story was circulating, The Ringer's Joanna Robinson, author of the recently-released book MCU: The Reign of Marvel Studios, (well worth a read by the way) offered an additional take: the film’s writer, Jeff Loveness, wouldn’t be staying on the project either given that it was looking...

[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for the first Doctor Who 60th anniversary special “The Star Beast.”] “Why did this face come back?” Though that question is asked throughout “The Star Beast,” it goes unanswered thus far. But Doctor Who’s very fun, delightful, nostalgia-filled, cinematic, and, at times, funny first 60th anniversary special, featuring brilliant performances by David Tennant and Catherine Tate as The Doctor and Donna Noble again does solve one major problem. At times, it feels like Tennant and Tate never left and The Doctor and Donna never parted — especially during a moment involving his sonic screwdriver (used in impressive ways). As Donna says near the end, “it’s like the old days.” But there’s the matter of aliens running around and, as The Doctor and Donna recap somewhat awkwardly for viewers to open the episode, the fact that she saved the universe by taking the power of a ...
