Since this game's release, there have been ten other titles released using the WrestleMania name (WrestleMania Challenge, WrestleMania: Steel Cage Challenge, WrestleMania: The Arcade Game, Super WrestleMania, WrestleMania 2000, Road to WrestleMania, Road to WrestleMania X8, WrestleMania X8, WrestleMania XIX, and WWE Legends of WrestleMania). The number rises when you count the various different pay-per-view versions of each title.
At the time this game was released, the "Million Dollar Man" Ted Dibiase did not yet have theme music so "Girls in Cars", which was the theme of the tag team Strike Force was used for him.
Andre the Giant's theme was actually "Stand Back" which was sung by Vince McMahon on Piledriver: The Wrestling Album II. In real life Andre never had theme music.
The music at the start of the game is the Coliseum Video theme from the mid to late 80s.
The music at the beginning of the matches is the Superstars of Wrestling theme from 1987.
