Mostly unseen and unheard movie.....

It's not unusual to see an overdose of coincidences and improbabilities in a '60s movie, especially when it's a family drama. Besides there will be an adequate amount of tears and laughter all measured in a right quantity. This is what exactly is in "Balak," a film viewers might be rarely heard of or seen. It tells a story of a boy who is considered ominous by his own people as his parents passed away with his birth. It tries to bring the bond between his sister and his maternal uncle, who are the only ones who care for him. For the rest of the two hours very strange sequences of coincidences and tragedy have been created which are pretty spurious. There is also a lot of preachiness, artificalness, and cardboard characters. Yes, one major attraction is Baby Sarika in the title role and some of the emotional sequences she tries to give.
