A maniac killer commits more than one very bloody murder in one day. Witse and his team have to find the man quickly, but there doesn't seem to be a connection between the victims. In the meantime Wytinckx and Witse have a gigantic clash and Witse is restrained to the office. Are they able to stop the killer before he strikes again?

On a morning at a school the dead body of the chemistry teacher Frank Alpaerts is found. Alpaerts was a very popular teacher, but also had a very busy love life. Amongst them the wife of the gym teacher Dierckx. But then it appears that Alpaerts had a special bond with a problem child from school and the ghost of paedophilia arises. Everything comes to an explosive outcome on which Witse won't be walking out undamaged.

A new born baby is found dead on the playground of a school on a Saturday. There was a cleaning crew and a class taking extra lessons, but no-one saw anything. There were three girls absent that week from that school. The police find out the baby is from Stefanie. Her parents, very strict Jehova's witnesses, thinks she's at a language camp. They firmly believe their daughter wasn't pregnant, because it's a sin to have sex before marriage. The police find out that the P on the blanket the baby was wrapped in, comes from a hotel named Passage. The police find Stefanie there in very bad shape. She's unconscious and bleeding heavily. They rush her to hospital. She needs a blood transfusion. Her mother has the right blood, but when she will agree to a transfusion, she will be an outcast. Johan Cuypers, the leader of the community, warns her for this. Witse tells her, that Stefanie is much more important than her religion right now. In the mean time, they're not any closer to what happened with Stefanie and her baby and who the father of the baby is.

Liesbeth Christiaens is found murdered. She worked in the prison. It turns out she had an affair with one of the prisoners, Antoine Gijsels. But she also went with her colleague, Richard Van Acker. Liesbeth came clean to Richard and told him about her affair. So he had a motive to kill her. Antoine also has an affair with Carine. She firmly believes Antoine is totally innocent in prison. He supposed to have killed his wife. She knew about Liesbeth, so she also had a reason for killing Liesbeth. But Antoine has a baby with Leen and has plans to move in with her when he gets out. Ballistics prove Antoine's wife is killed with the same weapon as Liesbeth. It turns out Antoine is manipulating a lot of people to show his innocence. Finally Witse makes an arrest, but that's not for both murders.

The wealthy baroness Van Calster gets killed during a burglary, but strange enough there wasn't much stolen from her castle. The baroness had a much younger lover and didn't get along with her son Didier. Both men want her possessions and share a common interest in Sylvia, a model from Eastern Europe who wants to make it in the West. Witse discovers that the lover was the victim of a carjacking and that the burglar used this car and that the chauffeur of the baroness left the castle that night to sell wine from the cellar of the castle. The case gets even weirder when it appears that the stolen car was in a garage, which was rented by the baroness. Only when the testament is being read, for Witse the pieces come together.

At a scouting camp the young Tatiana is found strangled. Tatiana was a handsome girl who had a relationship with the tough, aggressive Wout. She was beloved by the shy scout leader Ludo. When it comes out that Tatiana constantly bullied and humiliated him, Ludo becomes a clear suspect. But also her mother, an alcoholic woman with a turbulent love life, is being considered a suspect. When Ludo flees, and later gets killed by Wout, who says Ludo confessed that he strangled Tatiana, the case seems solved. But details on photo's, made by scout leader Bernadette, bring Witse on the right track of the killer.

Albain's girlfriend, Jeanine, worries about him and threatens to warn Witse. Witse, who is in Brussels for his divorce, visits Jeanine, but she refuses to say anything. Meanwhile Keysers from the Brussels department finds the murder weapon in a full garbage container and uses it as a lure to get the killer.

Albain Dictus, a former informant, gives Witse a vital clue about an expensive silver dinner service, which was stolen during a robbery with murder at Halle. Because this was an unsolved case from Van Deun, he gets involved in the investigation. Dictus will make a contact for them with the seller, but he doesn't show up and appears to be murdered at a car park in Brussels.

A pyromaniac infests Halle. The damage is considerable, but nobody died. Until one night a ship with scrap is burnt out. The owner is found dead in the remains. The man turned out to be a tyrant for his wife, two sons and daughter in law. The eldest son is a lot like his father. The youngest is introvert and can't handle stress very well. And then it comes to light that the victim didn't die in the flames. His head was smashed in first.

A man dies after eating a little jar of yoghurt, which has been poisoned with cyan potassium. Not much later a child dies at a school by a similar accident. Both jars come from the Supri-supermarket. Witse and his team do everything to get the perpetrator. It's strange though, that they don't get a ransom demand. In the meantime there is a serious threat that the people in Halle might panic. And that is something that the police want to avoid at all cost.
