weird, weird and strange

Bizarre mix of David Lynch and Todd Haynes Barbie version of The Carpenters. Strangest group of shorts I've seen including Sick & Twisted (although Spike & Mike are very cool).

Anyone crazy with a wild imagination. Check out this DVD!

I viewed this wonderfully crazed DVD at a party I bought a copy the next day

Hard to explain to the uninitiated what this DVD collection of short films is about. A friend of mine once tried to explain the wonderfully manic Shaye St. John to me and I was left scratching my head. When I viewed this DVD which stars Shaye St. John, along with her burnt doll Kiki,I found that I could not look away from the screen. I sat there with my mouth open, probably drooling, mesmerized by what I was seeing. A fabulous barrage of colors and sounds. Among all that color and sound was Shaye St. John doing what Shaye does best and that is go crazy. There were points during the DVD that I was laughing so hard I thought that I might be going loopy by watching it. During other points I thought I was watching the scariest movie ever made. No gore or anything like that just an overall feeling of creepiness. When it was over the first words out of my mouth were "where can I get a copy of this DVD?". I ordered a copy the next day. I knew I could not explain it so I had to show it and I have been showing it to select friends ever since. I think I have a caused a couple of them to become as obsessed as I am because they bought a copy for themselves as well. If you like edgy original film-making(that is the best description I can think of). If you like your entertainment to suck you in and leave you feeling like you have had an experience when its all over then this puppy is for you. The DVD is a compilation of 30 short films, some no longer than a minute and a half, and a lot of extras including the easiest to locate easter eggs that I have ever seen on a DVD. If creative experimental film-making is up your alley than this DVD is a must have. If you want to get a taste of what I had a hard time explaining through this comment then go to Shaye St. John's infamously labyrinthine website. If you like what you see purchase the DVD right then and there. Then show it to your friends and spread the infection.

this collection of short films are nothing short of brilliant in it's sheer originality and creepiness. a must for anyone interested in the abstract and bizarre. definitely not for the weak minded, average or "normal" individual...these experimental films are exactly what they sound like. well, besides the fact that you couldn't imagine the unparalleled horrors contained within this collection. a trip to shaye's website can give you a decent feel for the weirdness that you are in for. i feel that the creator of these short films is simply genius. i could not believe the extent to which i was impressed with these films. keep in mind that whenever i show them to any of my friends it just creeps them all out, and many might find this intolerable; but if you're anything like myself this collection is complete gold. i could go on forever about it, but shaye saint john can only be experienced, not explained.

The best (and only) DVD in my collection
polysicsarebest29 April 2010
I recently went through a severe DVD and CD cleansing, pretty much selling or giving away everything I own.

Except this.

I... just... can't get rid of this one.

Every time I show it to someone, they lose their mind..

This is, by far, the craziest thing ever made, and some of the most entertaining as well.

Also, Eric Fournier, the creator of Shaye St. John, died recently, so this will be the last we see of him. Extremely sad.

Do whatever you can to get this.

The Shaye Saint John DVD "The Triggers Compilation" is so great. My friends and myself totally love it, Shaye and her doll Kiki are so very talented, creative and totally original! We cant wait for more films from Shaye Saint John and her doll Kiki. "The Triggers Compilation" is a terribly wonderful and totally fun set of shorts from Shaye and Kiki's world of wonder! It is so refreshing to see creativity and performance art at its best. recently I ordered the Shaye Saint John DVD "The Triggers Compilation" from the Shaye Saint John website. when I got it I couldn't wait to watch it. I took it over to my friend's house and we watched it all the way through. it was totally fun, we laughed and talked about it for days. I hope to go to Los Angeles to see Shaye Saint John and her doll Kiki live and in person someday. I hear Shaye Saint John and her Doll Kiki sometimes visit and perform at a place called the CIA (California Institute of Abnormalarts)", I hope to visit someday. Thank you Shaye and Kiki for a hypnotizing look into your fabulous life, you are both totally great!
