Well this is an ULTRA low budget cheesy horror Mexican movie. You don't need to know anything! about it.

The Mexican monster movies from the 50's and 60's were very popular because in that time there weren't that much f/x resources.

"El Teatro del Horror" came in the early 90's where the 80's slasher mania in all the world (yes, the genre also spread in Mèxico!) was about to vanish. The f/x used here are very poor (okay for a budget of I think $1000) and the acting couldn't be worse except for the GREAT "Resortes". He's the best reason to watch the movie as he's always funny and his performance shows that he's a fine comedian, in his very own style.

There's a beheading, there's a walking body without a head chasing people with a sword (!), and cheesy f/x in a creepy environment.

I'm not going to be that harsh towards this movie because it's directed to a specific part of the population... I'm not going to go through it and I won't give a rating because it wouldn't be fair to slam this cheesy horror movie that has NO Pretensions.

If you catch it on cable (which may be very difficult, I'd say almost impossible) watch it for a good laugh. Remember, take it for what it is: an ultra low budget cheesy horror movie with NOTHING to offer.
