The movie surfaces the simple life of a simpleton and happy go lucky man named Narya ( Shri P.L.Deshpande) living in a chawl and working at a local Grocery stores. His Simple and Noble nature often puts him trouble because of which he is constantly thrashed by his master Anna who is strict by nature and kind by heart. Narya is deeply in love with a noble and kind spirited girl named Leela who lives with her ailing and blind father in the same chawl as that of Narya. Leela is a local flower seller outside temple and Narya is always there to help her without expecting anything in return, which develop true trust and bonding between the two. Narya is also a gifted method actor who often goes deep and acquires the delivery of the famous historical character the moment he sees any of the respective posters or the photos. Likewise on a fine day he sees the poster of the great maratha king Sambhaji Maharaj and starts behaving as if he is the King. This draws the attention of the owner of a Theatre group and he quickly hires him for the titular role of Sambhuji Maharaj from his play. The owner gives him an advance of Rs.15/- which
