The Booze Made Him Unsteady On His Feet
boblipton6 December 2020
Damon and Pythias are a couple of guys in Syracuse when the Emperor Milburn Morante outlaws booze. Through the usual comic tropes, they spend their time destroying all the liquor reserves by drinking them.

It's a burlesque of the 1914 feature DAMON AND PYTHIAS, based on a Bulwer-Lytton novel. The feature was the first produced at Universal series, and for 1914, it was a very impressive feature, modeled on the Italian epics that were so popular on the period.

THe cast includes regulars, including Heinie Conklin, Gale Henry, and Billy Franey. It's frantically paced.
