Richman pitch lands at Uni Pics
Universal Pictures has picked up an untitled action-thriller pitch by Jason Richman for Lorenzo Di Bonaventura to produce. The project is described as a Hitchcockian thriller about a former FBI agent who has run away from his past and must now go back to it and face his demons. In the process, he redeems himself. Di Bonaventura Pictures executive Jeremy Steckler is overseeing the project with Universal's Scott Stuber and Tim O'Hair. Richman, repped by ICM, co-wrote Touchstone Pictures' Bad Company, starring Anthony Hopkins and Chris Rock. He also scripted New Line Cinema's third installment of the Rush Hour franchise. Di Bonaventura, whose company is based at Paramount Pictures, is attached to produce several projects around town, including Revolution Studios' Carlos and Jeff and Doomsday; Miramax Films' Derailed; Warner Bros. Pictures' SIS; and Paramount's Sleeping With Schubert, Paranoia, Starting Five and The Next Soldier.
