This was part 3 of "The Nurse" trilogy from 1997 and 1998. The studio, K-Beech, owner of the adult lines Erotic Angel, Dreamland USA, and Midnight Film & Video, wanted to push its three contract girls, one representing each of the three lines. Farrah came first for Erotic Angel. Sadie Sexton was next, in "The Nurse, Part 2," for Midnight Film & Video. Tabatha Stevens was supposed to be third release, with this installment. But Stevens was a no show and the part was recast at the last minute with Dee, as Nurse Tabatha. Not feeling Dee was a big enough name to carry the movie, K-Beech chose to change the title to "Nurse Shanna" and feature Shanna McCullough on the box cover. It didn't seem to matter to the distributor that her character, Amanda Hope, was not a nurse, but the owner of the hospital.
