Quotes

  • DCP Anant Kumar Shrivastav : [Catching up with the rest at hospital entrance, having lost all hope]  This mission is over for all of you.

[All characters looking towards Anant confused]

DCP Anant Kumar Shrivastav : By now I am sure you have realised that the very people who sent us to apprehend Ansari don't want Ansari to reach the court. In such circumstances it's near to impossible to get Ansari to the court. If we are to continue this mission, our battle will be against the entire establishment and for once even if we do succeed in our motive, we will face reprisals from the government. We'll get suspended, dismissed or even jailed. I've decided I'll go the distance. You people are young, you've your entire lives ahead of you. I'd like all of you to return back home.

[Anant turns around to enter the hospital]

Sr. Inspector Shekhar Verma : Well done sir. You want to do all the noble deeds all alone. Ok, I accept I've been a bad cop, done a lot of awful things. But this is the only time I am getting a chance at redemption, and you want to grab it from me? I am not going back. Last night, I was exceptionally rude to you, for that I apologize, but please don't send me back Sir.

    [Shekhar cries]

Sr. Inspector Shekhar Verma : If you wouldn't take me along, I would tail you. But I am coming with you.

Constable Kamlesh Sawant : I am also with you sir. To the end.

Constable Gajanan Mhatre : I am also with you sir. If I lose this job, be it.

Sub Inspector Ashwin Gupte : I am also with you sir. But only till we can get Ansari to Mumbai. Once there, I am resigning from this job.

Mahalaxshmi : [Reluctantly]  I too would like to accompany you Sir.

DCP Anant Kumar Shrivastav : Alright. If that's so, from now on, there's no communication with Mumbai.

  • DCP Anant Kumar Shrivastav : [Receiving a call from Angre]  Yes who's it?

Yashwant Angre : Welcome, welcome to Chandangarh. I kept trying thinking to personally greet you all afternoon but you just didn't pick my phone. Good, the more the prey is sharp and quick, the more is the fun in the hunt.

DCP Anant Kumar Shrivastav : Who's the hunter and who's the prey, will soon be very clear.

Yashwant Angre : Sure it'll be. And I know you'll love it.

DCP Anant Kumar Shrivastav : You're speaking in a manner as if you know me very well.

    [Calling Ashwin]

DCP Anant Kumar Shrivastav : Ashwin, I can hear rail tracks near him. Send someone to patrol the booth at the station.

Yashwant Angre : You seem not remember old friends DCP Sir, it ain't the case with me. I neither forget, nor do I let anybody forget nor do I forgive.

Sub Inspector Ashwin Gupte : Sir I inquired about the surroundings. There's no phone booth around the station.

DCP Anant Kumar Shrivastav : Try tracking this call.

Yashwant Angre : By the way, I thought I should ask you, how's Ansari doing ?

DCP Anant Kumar Shrivastav : I don't think it's anyone of your business.

Sub Inspector Ashwin Gupte : Sir the call's just untraceable for no reason.

DCP Anant Kumar Shrivastav : Keep trying

[Suddenly gears Anant wife's voice on the receiver recorded by Angre]

DCP Anant Kumar Shrivastav : .

    [In a raging voice]

DCP Anant Kumar Shrivastav : You're inside my house? How dare you...

Yashwant Angre : [Interrupting Anant]  I can reach anyone, anywhere DCP sir. I'll reach Ansari too.

DCP Anant Kumar Shrivastav : [In a furious tone]  You dare touch my family, I'll...

Yashwant Angre : [Disconnecting]  Good night sir.

    [Switches off the tape]

  • Sr. Inspector Shekhar Verma : [Cheering up Tusshar Kapoor outside the hospital after pledging to continue the mission with Amitabh Bachchan]  Hey, why are you thinking to resign from this job ? That should be done by a guy like me. But look, here I am making a new start. You're far better than I am.

Sub Inspector Ashwin Gupte : [Frustrated by revelations of corruption by the authorities]  Why should I continue being a cop ? What's the rationale? So that I salute criminals like Naidu and Deodhar ? The purpose for which I joined the department is something which the ones at the top wouldn't let me fulfill and what they'd want me to do, my conscience wouldn't allow me. So it's not worth it.

Sr. Inspector Shekhar Verma : [Acknowledging the reality but optimistic about the task]  Look, we can still make a difference, there's Anant Sir to guide us

[both are interrupted by the arrival of the local police]
