literal translation: Daughter of the Mountain
zzmale28 November 2003
Excellent condemnation of the dross of traditional Chinese culture, namely, those in Confucianism that discriminate women: women were supposed to be the properties of their husbands, and when they are out on their own to earn a living, rumor flies and the protagonist is accused of adultery, even though she did not do it and she was working to support her husband. In the era of cultural diversity, we must distinguish the dross and virtual, discard the former and keep the latter.
