When Crane is driving Jean home from town there is no rear-view mirror in his vehicle. However, when they arrive at Einar's ranch a few minutes later, a rear-view mirror is clearly visible on the inside windshield.
In the very next scene it is dark and Jean and Griff are asleep. Jean hears the motorcycle and yells at him. He tells her that the car is done for and offers to take them to South Dakota. Jean tells Griff to just take what she needs, and it shows them filling up her backpack. As the motorcycle rides away leaving them at probably a bus stop, they now have many large bags of clothes with them.
When Griff takes a sandwich to Mitch he takes a bite off one corner. In the second shot he takes a bite off the other corner. In the third shot it shows only one bite off one corner.

In the scene where Griff and her mom are arguing at Nina's house, Griff's hair is in front of her ear in one shot and the next it's tucked behind.
When Robert Redford cuts up the beef for the bear, it's in slices. However when they're at the park feeding the bear, it ground beef they're feeding him.
What happens with the trailer crate? Einer gets hurt and Griff drives them to the hospital but you never see them unhooking the trailer crate.
Morphine Sulfate, a potent Schedule II narcotic was seen being retrieved from the refrigerator for Mitch's needed dose. Unless from a foreign source, these bottles did not have the required markings for a controlled substance in the USA.
In the scene where the truck with the grandfather (Robert Redford's character) and the young girl inside is coming back to the farm at night you can see a human watching the scene, and a piece of equipment at the end of the scene in the bottom right corner.
The farm truck used in the movie is a 1966 Mercury Custom Cab. Mercury trucks were only produced in Canada, although the film takes place in the United States.
