Nothing special...just darn good acting.

The actual plot of DON'T NOBODY LOVE THE GAME MORE THAN ME is not all that important. What is important is watching these four men do a darn good job of acting--and because of this, I can strongly recommend this independent film.

Four Black men who appear to be about 30-40 years of age are playing basketball. After the game, they start having a friendly argument about who loves basketball the most. Each tries to one-up the other until finally one of them tells a story about the worst basketball player EVER.

Although you probably won't recognize their faces since they only have a few screen credits each, interestingly enough all four have done stints on the "Law and Order" shows on NBC. Perhaps that's where they met or perhaps that's just the show for struggling New York actors to make their mark. Regardless, with the quality of acting, you can't help but assume you'll be seeing a lot more of the men. They all had a relaxed and realistic delivery--solid professionals throughout.

Wonderful and oddly touching

"Don't Nobody Love the Game More Than Me" is a wonderful short film about four guys who, after finishing a round of hoops, debate on whether one of them 'loves the game' more than everybody else. There are no great speeches, no jaw-dropping statements- just a ten-minute glimpse into the lives of four Average Joes who truly love the game. The question of the film- whether Pops really does love the game more than everybody else- is answered at the end of the film in a speech given by one of the characters that's truthful, funny, and oddly touching. This is a wonderful short.

I never grow tired of watching this indie short

A friend sent me this movie at a time of deep despair, and it made me want to pick myself up and try again. It is a masterpiece...incredible character development in just 10 short minutes...a debate that elevates a debate about basketball to what is our life force...when one refuses to give up even when we know it's futile. We all know an Isaiah Blue, we feel sorry for him, but laugh about him behind his back -- some of us have experienced being Isaiah, but we'd never admit it.

I love the soundtrack, the acting, the cinematography and the script. I have watched it many times, and take great joy in introducing others -- especially writers, artists and sports fans -- to "Don't Nobody Love the Game More than Me."
