Margaret Cho's comedy routine brings up very important views and ideas concerning femininity and stereotypes; forcing the viewers to question society's views of certain typecasts and how our society often rushes to judge. By using personal encounters, she is successful in proving those stereotypes wrong. Because this is a comedy routine and not serious dialogue, some of her underlying points are often overlooked, one being manufacturing femininity. Cho presents the surveyors with the `sugar-coated' truths about stereotypes, leaving you laughing yet aware of those issues. One of her very constructive intentions is by parodying the industry's commodification of women. Overall, Margaret Cho uses her talent to her advantage; to force her viewers to question their thoughts of stereotypes and the lack of truth that relates to them. In a way, she acts as a distanciation device, separating the viewer from the steriotyper and allowing us to view people in a different light.
