General Hospital fans are not entirely certain what is going on in many areas. Josslyn is put on the spot, and this might just make her feel like she has to lie her way out of it. The problem with this, however, is that her lies are causing her to have serious issues in her life. She can’t keep lying to her mother and her stepdad and everyone else and actually get away with things. She’s got to do something different. She’s not in a good place, and things aren’t working out for them. She’s in a tough situation, but

In 2007, after returning to the music scene with the full E Street Band, Bruce Springsteen released the critically- and commercially-adored album, “Magic.” A fierce and cutting portrait of American disillusionment from track to track, the music marked a high point for the legendary rocker’s resurgent post-9/11 work, but it also signified the politically-progressive singer’s most pessimistic take on a society he’s been writing about — and representing — since the late ’60s.
Then, just two years later, the insightful artist released an album that could very well be his most hopeful ever, certainly since his return to prominence. While infectiously enthusiastic and admirably experimental, “Land of Hope and Dreams” was a significant step down in caliber compared to “Magic.” But it was what reflected our mass perspective in 2009, and more than that, it was what we needed to hear.

From the files of what might have been: Lee Daniels tried to cast Oprah Winfrey as a serial killer.
In an interview with Film.com, Daniels revealed that he had wanted to work with Winfrey on a thriller that would have starred the media icon as a murderer.
"She refused, and I thought it was the biggest kick," Daniels said. "The producers thought I was out of my mind for doing that. I didn't get the job, even. When I told them that I wanted Oprah for the job, they didn't even care."
The film was never made -- not with Daniels or another director.
"Not only did Oprah not do it, I lost the job. How 'bout that?" Daniels said. "I mentioned it to the producers, 'I want Oprah to play it,' and they were looking at me like, 'He's not right for this movie.'"
Despite that impasse,...

Dear Jackie:i have an actor friend who I met at a day job a couple years back. This guy is pretty inexperienced and it shows, but he is a really good guy, and I honestly think he's genuinely talented. I have seen some of his work and find him really, really funny. Anyway, he really doesn't understand the industry. He wants to act but never sends his stuff out. I know that doing mass mailings and such when you're unsigned and nonunion is a crapshoot at best, but he doesn't even look at Back Stage, Actors Access, Now Casting—nothing. He does do a lot of background work. He's one of those guys who actually thinks he'll be discovered that way. Well, he was. He got bumped up to a one-liner a few weeks ago on a very popular AFTRA show! The director went to high school with him and...

Nimrod Antal’s Armored feels like a film from a different time; specifically, an action thriller from the late 1990s. It’s the kind of second tier B movie that might have starred Cuba Gooding Jr. in the lead, Michael Keaton in the Dillon role, and Laurence Fishburne in the same role he’s got here. Due to the shrieking chaos of most modern action films, this fact actually proves to be a good thing.
Under the skilled direction of Antal, Armored trades up shaky cam and overcooked editing for expertly shot and nerve-jangling chase sequences that feel inspired by 1970’s crime thrillers. The second string cast, including Dillon, Fishburn, Ulrich and the always dependable Ward, all deliver down-to-earth performances that fit the characters.
Unfortunately, a predictable plot rife with holes and inconsistencies and a script banged together from old heist clichés shoots the movie in the foot before it...

New York -- Kara DioGuardi wants to hang out with Ellen DeGeneres before the new season of "American Idol" to get the judges working together comfortably.
The second-year judge said she plans on spending down time in December with the newest addition to "Idol."
"I'm hoping the chemistry with Ellen will be great -- and a great start to the season," she said at the Media and Money conference in New York on Friday.
It's all part of her effort to establish her identity on the Fox show after a rookie year that saw plenty of criticism come her way about her on-air role. She explained, "you have to know on the show who you are and have a vision of yourself. What am I trying to represent? You'll see more of this branding myself."
DioGuardi also had kind words for Paula Abdul. Asked by Billboard editorial director Bill Werde...
