The Man, played by 'Greg McDonald', recorded his voice over lines with his head in a toilet. Director Michelle Truffaut wanted an echo effect but didn't want to spend money in a studio to create it. It is referred to as the Scottish recording studio.
Being a low budget film, no permits were obtained to film in the street. During the scene where The Man goes in the middle of a city intersection to "pound the pavement", one bystander thought Greg McDonald was a seriously deranged individual. Fortunately, the shot was completed before the bystander could notify the authorities.
