Once More: A heartfelt Tamil Gem from 1997

Warning: Spoilers
Once More is one of the Greatest Tamil Film that was released in 1997. The film's plot revolves around Vijay, a careless man who gets Selvam, a senior home inmate, to act as his father for an important business deal. Soon after they started the charade, they start helping each other.

Sivaji Ganesan's performance as Selvam is remarkable. Even B. Saroja Devi is very good. While as an actor, Vijay is quite not in the same league as Sivaji Ganesan, and he was indeed very lucky to share screen space with Ganesan.

The Script of "Once More" is very nice. In terms of Screenplay, at places it fails to keep the story engaging. But overall the brisk narration pace ensures that its a good narrative.

SA Chandrasekhar's Direction is good, showing that he is good at cinematic storytelling. Cinematography is satisfactory, and editing is good.

The music, composed by Deva is very good, and it adds another layer to the beauty of the film.

If the Screenplay of "Once More" was a little more interesting, it could have been a masterpiece, nonetheless it is a very good family entertainer.

My Rating: 8/10 Verdict: Very Good.
