colorful and moving

I was at the Mill Valley Film Festival last year when I saw this fantastic short. From the very beginning, the colors from the cinematography immediately captured my attention. This film brilliantly projects the simplicity of human emotions where the love for a daughter drives a man to escape from prison to find her. I went through a wonderful journey as the film shows the magnificence of Cambodia. It's a wonderful glimpse of culture showing the beauty of the Cambodian dance. I was always impressed throughout the story because you experience humor, great dialogue, laughter, tears, and mystery. The mystery made it all the more intriguing. I love movies that leave the background story to your imagination. The director created a powerful and moving ending, and at the same time, he was able to leave you with other possibilities of his story. I'd love to find a copy of the film.

I Happened to see this film last year at the marco island film festival in florida, the director was sitting behind me,so i didn't critique anything during the film. The Story was not that great the acting was alright, although sometimes it was hard to take the actors seriously.the directing was good along with the scenery.the story didn't make a whole lot of sense,a man breaking out of jail to see his daughter dance,it would have been better if we could see what the man did to go to jail. in other words the film is worth a look if you get the chance but nothing to get to excited about.
