Entertaining if you think very small children acting like adults is enough to carry a film....

Before Shirley Temple became famous, she did a string of shorts. Some were not bad but most are pretty tough to watch today. Part of this is because Shirley was just too young and untalented (though her talents would soon explode on the screen). Most of it is because for some inexplicable reason, some people THOUGHT seeing small kids act like adults was hilarious. It wasn't.

In this installment, a boxing film is spoofed and a couple toddlers box over the affections of Shirley. It's all very dry and unfunny and THE joke is simply seeing young kids in such adult roles. If you think diapered young people is enough to make a film worth seeing, I severely question your taste. For me, watching this film was as pleasant as chewing on glass...and MEGA-creepy.
