A polite, refined, all-woman murder mystery
KFL9 June 2006
A famous murder mystery author is found dead in her own home, by her five closest companions, all female. Did she commit suicide, or was she murdered? Who among them would do such a thing? This film more or less hews closely to the rules of murder mysteries itself, as various revelations and surprising plot twists are punctuated by much eating, drinking, and gossip. This is a murder mystery with a decidedly feminine touch, but I (a fortysomething male) liked it well enough. It is on the clever side, although there are a few places where suspension of disbelief becomes a chore.

If you think you might like a rather civilized whodunit, you might find this engrossing. I don't know if it is available in an English subtitled or dubbed version though.
