The first scenes give no clue to the plot
An obscure plot is the chief shortcoming of this otherwise pleasing film story. There is a good deal of sincere and well meant acting, but the first scenes give no clue to the plot and the final ones leave it still more or less of a mystery. A number of sub-titles would aid materially in getting this story clearly before the observer. The photography is soft and pleasing to the eye. - The Moving Picture World, June 21, 1913
