A quite interesting TV special behind the scenes on Oliver Stone's monumental biopic "Nixon" featuring interviews with Stone, actors Anthony Hopkins, Joan Allen,
James Woods, J. T. Walsh, David Hyde Pierce, co-producer Eric Hamburg, and real personalities involved in Nixon administration John Dean and Alexander Butterfield, who
acted as the movie consultants. Not sure if this was released as bonus material on the director's cut version of the film - the simple one was the one released here and
it got zero extras - but I managed to watch it and it's quite alright as those things were back in the day (today those special features are a lot more detailed and with
less commentaries about the characters and how the actors feel about them).
Fine interviews and some solid points of view but it'd be a lot more gripping if more behind the scenes clips were presented, development of scenes and the creative atmosphere on set - there are a couple of humored bits with some actors but it's quite reduced. Yet lots of fun to watch it. 8/10.
