ANDROID GIRL RIMA is another disappointment from Japanese nutcase, Daisuke Yamanouchi. This film, along with ANDROID GIRL NAMI, and DEAD A GO! GO! are the weakest of his films so far, so fans of his earlier material should pass these by.
My copy has no sub/dubs - so the storyline is hazy to me, but it seems to be about an android girl (no big surprise there...) that is sent to earth on some random and unintelligible missions for some unknown purpose.
Gone is the typical Yamanouchi sleaze and gore, so this film is pretty unappealing on all levels. I don't know if these films were made for a more "mainstream" audience, but whatever their purpose they're barely worth a viewing. I would only recommend either of the ANDROID GIRL films to die-hard Yamanouchi fans who are eager to see all of his material. For better Yamanouchi works, try MUZAN E (definitely his best film...), GIRL HELL, BLOOD SISTERS, or KYOKO VS. YUKI. Avoid the ANDROID GIRL films, and DEAD A GO! GO!...4/10 for RIMA
