Sad but true...

A very good movie, of young girl's sad life. I liked this movie very much, I even cried, since it depicts Alice's life and problems so well. Here it comes to show, how people of the opposite sex can be cruel towards one specific person, but not only that.

Here is also shown how a good friendship can be broken for apparently no reason. And this made me feel sorry for poor Alice - no friends, no boyfriend, he was alone like a wolf. And needless to say, that my own situation is kinda similar - I have some friends, but no girlfriend, and for mostly the same reasons as Alice, that's why I understood her story so much. Also the direction is very good here.

But of course, the movie is not without its flaws. Weak storyline at points, some points even make no sense, and some other parts would need more discussion between the people involved, not just one or two lines, and then simply ending. But overall, this is a very good movie, and it's one of the rare movies, which show the young people for how they really are, unlike the over-stereotyped way that we see the youth in most the Hollywood movies (some Hollywood movies are an exception to this, especially movies talking about the Afroamericans, Hispanic people, etc. - those are movies!).

I would really wish more of such movies to be done in the future, and also in other countries. It would greatly expand the youth movie genre, which would only do the movie industry some good.
