The urbanites bring their own business ethic, with capitalistic tendencies; local patriarch Anton (Joe Abeywickrama) clashes with the urbanites, headed by Victor (Vijay Kumaratunge). When Victor gets involved with a local girl, tensions rise in the village, climaxing in a series of violent events.—Thivanka Rukshan Perera
- Kalpitiya is a fishing village. When the regular dealer there falls ill, his son Victor (Vijay Kumaratunge) arrives at the beach to take over the buying of fish, accompanied by friends. The newcomers' arrival bring in a different ethic of buying and selling, one based on an economy still rather foreign to the village. Helen (Malini Fonseka), the beautiful daughter of lower-class fishing people is at the center of this strife, as the whole village is sundered by divided loyalties. This sets off a series of cataclysmic events plunging the village into a netwrok of intrigue, suspicion and violence.
