I have always loved watching "pinoy" comedies because a majority of the time, there are a bunch of goof ball antics and really wacky sayings. However when I first saw Elvis And James, the original, I thought to myself that it was really well done. Not only was it a pure comedy but there was a lot of singing. Rene Requiestas brings the film to life with his antics but unlike the first film, he has a more serious role in this feature. Joey singing is worth the price of admission ..plus he dances in some of the scenes which makes it even more funny.
All in all, the comedies today are lacking star power. Elvis and James 2 hit the big screen and it did fairly well. I miss the old school gags in these sorts of films.
