- TriviaDuring the 2004 election period in the Philippines, this show created a controversy. When the government under re-electionist president Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo entered into a deal with the Lopezes (which owns ABS-CBN) over the troubled Maynilad (a water utility firm servicing the capital rehion), it was reported that this TV series would be axed as part of the contract. The Lopezes were supporting Arroyo and her running-mate Noli de Castro, an ABS-CBN talent. 'Dolphy', the main star, was supporting opposition candidate Fernando Poe Jr.. Arroyo denied having hands in the axing of the show, and said she did know that Dolphy has a show in ABS-CBN. Dolphy, in retaliation, said the president is "stupid" for knowing nothing. He cited that Arroyo even made a guest appearance in Home Along da Riles (1992), the show's first season.
