sweet!

this is a slovakian documentary about a historical, local swimming pool, and how it became a reference point in everyone's lives over the years, starting from the director's family. It's an interesting and sweet documentary, a bit slow at times though. 6/10

Not Dull as I Expected
twghometony2 May 2024
Overall, it exceeded expectations when I first watched it. The creative soundtrack and editing made what I thought was a dull subject matter come alive with meaning. I'm not someone who has experienced the history of Eastern Europe, so I thought it would be a sleepy journey to dig deep into the history behind a swimming pool and show its significance to a group of people. Still, I didn't realise I would be very focused throughout the journey. I saw this film at TIDF in 2024. I recommend this film to anyone who has never seen this director's work before so that it can be your first exposure to his work.
