The theater used for the film was actually on the brink of being closed, and shortly before the film was released it was indeed closed, in an strange example of life imitating art.

Two cast members from the Original Dragon Inn(1967) appear as audience members in the Theatre, 'Chun Shin' who played 'Xiao Shaozi' as the person who cries when the movie ends & 'Miao Tien' who played 'Pi Shao Tung' as the grandfather who came with his grandchild.
