Interesting but not really worth the effort finding unless you are a Heather Hunter fan

There can't be many porn stars that have varied their chosen career into the field of Japanese-style animated short films. However famous (I'd never heard of her) black porn actress Heather Hunter did just that with this collection of short films that sees her as the Bulletproof Diva, fighting to save the world from evil. In essence the films are all about style and very little substance but that is not a major problem because I think that is what they were originally conceived to be about. As such the story is not that well done, which I did think was a shame but I suppose does go with the territory somewhat.

Visually the films do show their limitations by not being totally as smooth as I would have liked but it does still ape the style of anime well enough to do the job. Fans of the genre will be a bit disappointed with the quality but it does OK. The gimmick of having Heather Hunter playing herself adds some cult interest to the product but, like many porn actresses, delivering dialogue is not really her strongest skill – which unfortunately is a bit of a problem when you consider that here she is just providing a voice track. She is a clunky and unconvincing and it doesn't help matters, although her character looks cool and is based closely on her.

Overall this is an interesting little collection of shorts but other than the cult novelty value it doesn't have that much to offer. The story isn't up to much and Hunter is not a great actress even if her character is cool. The visuals have some style but aren't all they could have been and do feel like they have been traced off something much better. Interesting but not really worth the effort finding unless you are a Heather Hunter fan.
