The programme that made me fall in love with Peregrine Falcons
purplehippy19 September 2011
I am old enough to remember seeing this in the early 80s at school, this programme was the first one I can remember watching that made me think about the horrible things mankind do to animals and also made me fall in love with Peregrine Falcons.

Now 30yrs later they are still my favourite bird and I've spent most of my life campaigning and making people aware of the beauty and fragility in nature and all because of one afternoon in school sitting cross legged on an uncomfortable TV room floor.

This is the only programme out of the series of 'Look and Read' school programmes that has stuck with me throughout my life

Ripping yarn with moral
Wold-Farm2 February 2007
This was made eight years before I was born, and I first saw the updated version when I was at primary school.

I caught it accidentally today, and I thought that it still worked very well on all three levels:

1) as an entertaining drama

2) as a story with a message

3) as an educational tool helping with reading and writing.

I found myself enjoying it for its own sake as well as for nostalgia. and I think that it would be well worth repeating at a time when children (not just those at home ill) would be at home.
