Halo-8 Entertainment has announced its acquisition of James Tucker’s Pink Eye this morning, according to Thr.
The story follows a masked lunatic who escapes a small-town insane asylum where the patients are put through bizarre drug experiments. He starts taking out his frustrations on the local town and its residents. A limited theatrical release is planned for the summer with a DVD due to hit shelves on September 30th.
Tucker’s the director of such films as Aunt Rose and Addiction. Halo-8 hasn’t really made a name for itself yet but has every intention of doing so by releasing movies like Your Mommy Kills Animals, the animal rights activist documentary. To be honest, Pink Eye doesn’t look like it fits in with what they’re trying to do, but maybe there’s more to it than crazed mental patients covered in gore.
