Violet Flame was originally supposed to play the dual roles of Ellie and Trish from the beginning. Later, Matt Spease cast an actress to play Trish, but once Violet arrived to do her scenes the actress backed out and Violet agreed to play the dual roles anyway.

Violet Flame was hired for the role of Ellie Richards because of her physicality. The character is required to do many scenes that included fighting and her own stunt work, it only fitting that she was played by a pro wrestler.
The role of Sherrif Garris was originally written with actor Daniel Ramme in mind, but when director Matt Spease met Daniel's father Brian Ramme, he cast him in the role instead and Daniel ended up playing the much smaller role of Al Donaldson.
