Károly Guruczi is an excellent detective, but he drinks constantly. His life is broken, drives a dodgy car and his wife left him 5 years ago. One day, he is entrusted with the search for a missing huckster and gets a new colleague, a freshly graduated police officer. The clues lead them to the turf, and soon they have their first dead man in the line, a tiny jockey. The tumultuous investigation involves many women and even more booze.

The once wealthy dry cleaner was found dead in his poor, underground workshop. Guruczi and his companion are given the case, where soon the master's assistant is also murdered. During the interrogation of countless suspects, a story emerges about an extremely rare stamp, which everyone wants to own, even not afraid of murder. Fortunately, Guruczi, although may not seem so, is a very clever detective.
