A great presentation of animation.

I didn't see the very beginning of this documentary, but I did manage to see a great deal of how it talks about 2-D animation, CGI, stop motion animation, & foreign animation.

The main characters are a talking girl turtle, an animation historian/professor, and an average Joe. The professor provides all of the info on animation made from the past 100 years. Along with actual clips of those selected animated shorts and movies.

After seeing this on Bravo, it influenced me to try out animated cartoons from different countries. The downside is there's no public release of this documentary which is a shame cause anyone who likes cartoons of all kinds will enjoy this feature.

If you want to see a DVD for this Documentary, send an e-mail to Rembrandt Films and request it like I did.

Interesting, but...

Unfortunately what was otherwise a very comprehensive overview, the producers obviously had a vendetta against Walt Disney. Every chance they had, they, in a rather passive aggressive sort of way, trashed him/the studio, which was a real disappoint to me because it otherwise was so good and offered so much non-mainstream information. I'm not some huge 'Disney-was-a-god' type, but the anti-Disney just got in the way. I swore when I was watching it that it had been produced by Mr. Katzenberg over at Dreamworks after he and Mr. Eisner had their fall out. That's the only reason I rated it so low. It really did a lot to offer and I learned a lot.
