Jimmy Kimmel‘s 5-month-old baby boy has made his red carpet debut!
On Sunday, the proud dad, 49, brought his son Billy, who needed to have open heart surgery shortly after birth, to his first public appearance at the L.A. Loves Alex’s Lemonade charity event at UCLA.
“He’s doing well,” Kimmel told E! News. “This is really his first public outing. So it’s not exciting for him … He’s a baby. He doesn’t know anything. But everybody’s doing well.”
The father-son duo were joined by Kimmel’s wife Molly McNearney and their 3-year-old daughter Jane.

Jimmy Kimmel and Jay Leno have finally ended their longtime feud.
On a recent Awards Chatter podcast with The Hollywood Reporter, the Jimmy Kimmel Live! host admitted that he and Leno “made peace” after his baby boy, Billy, underwent open heart surgery as a newborn earlier this year.
“Jay and I have made peace,” Kimmel, 49, shared. “After my son had his operation, he called me and he was very nice.”
Kimmel and Leno’s feud dates back to 2010, when there was a late-night talk show shakeup during which Leno replaced Conan O’Brien as the host of The Tonight Show.

It’s been quite the harrowing year for Jimmy Kimmel — but things are looking up.
The late-night host and wife Molly McNearney‘s baby boy William “Billy” John now 3 months old, had open heart surgery three days after his birth in April. And according to Kimmel in a new interview with The Hollywood Reporter, his son will need two more of the procedures, but is “doing great.”
“Young Billy made his first visit to our office today. He’s juggling. He’s translating Flaubert from French into English,” jokes the star. “No — he smiles. That’s pretty much it. He...

During his first show back from paternity leave, Jimmy Kimmel fired back at a few politicians (namely, Newt Gingrich) regarding his emotional monologue about his newborn son Billy‘s open heart surgery and the Gop’s recent healthcare repeal.
“One week ago tonight, I made an emotional speech -– that was seen by millions -– and as a result of my powerful words, Republicans in Congress had second thoughts about repeal and replace, they realized that what is right is right -– and I saved health insurance in America!” Kimmel, 49, said during Monday’s opening monologue. “Oh, I didn’t?...

On Wednesday, Marvel star Chris Evans publicly called out former Representative Joe Walsh of Illinois for mocking Kimmel’s emotional monologue in which the late-night host opened up about his newborn son’s battle with a congenital heart disease and defended the Affordable Care Act.
A day after Walsh tweeted that Kimmel’s “sad story doesn’t obligate me or anybody else to pay for somebody else’s health care,” Evans blasted the remark as “beyond misplaced.”
“Its fair to have opposing views on healthcare,” Evans tweeted at Walsh, “but our humanity should guide us when, where and how to engage.

Greetings New Music Mix Readers. You may have noticed I took a brief hiatus from my bi-weekly roundups. Well this past month I participated in a show on MTV that will be airing this summer. Check back on AfterElton.com once it airs as I’ll be recapping my experience and filling you all in on the inside gossip.
On February 28th, I had the chance to catch Lady Gaga and Scissor Sisters in Chicago at the United Center on Gaga’s second North American leg of her Monster Ball Tour. I must say that if you have the chance to go see her perform, take it. She is undoubtedly one of the best entertainers of our time.
While this was my second time catching a Lady Gaga performance it was my first Scissor Sisters one. In the last year I’ve become an ever-increasing fan of the sexiness that...
