Unfocused Script, Poor Acting, Bad Execution
Franco-LA12 November 2007
Warning: Spoilers
The problems with this film are far too numerous to mention in any specific way, but the include implausible elements in the script (from the key relationships that the lead has with those who enable him circumstances -- both good although generally bad), to the plotting and elapse of time during certain situations, in particular the house party at the end of the movie. Other elements, such as the fact that a pharmacy wouldn't deliver medication to a house-bound patient and that said patient would rely solely on a known and irresponsible drug addict for a life-saving medication, just weaken the overall tone and framework of the movie.

It reads like a very poor first draft, before even the hint of polish was applied, that someone decided might make money if it was tarted up with enough sexual innuendo and nudity. Unfortunately, all of these elements are all so unattractive as to make them pointless.

The fact that the actors are uniformly either uncomfortable, poor rehearsed or simply bad makes matters worse.

All in all, a truly ignoble experience.
