A LOW BUDGET CLASSIC!!! Reality TV horror for the MTV generation.

KIDS, THE BLAIR WITCH PROJECT and HENRY, PORTRAIT OF A SERIAL KILLER all had sex and that unholy union produced a daughter named LIZZIE. LIZZIE gives us a look into the life of a group of five young friends as pressures from school, peers and parents begin to exact a deadly toll. The natural sounding dialogue, often scatological and profane, leaves us with the feeling that we are actually peeking into the lives of real teenagers. That, coupled with the raw unedited look of the film, satisfies that voyeuristic bent that is currently rampant, as evidenced by the surfeit of reality television shows. The director deftly rides the fence between the genres of conventional horror and social commentary. There is an honesty portrayed here that makes the outcome all the more horrifying. If you liked any of the movies listed above, you have to see LIZZIE. Ask your local rental store to get this flick. You will probably rent it more than once.
