MTV 'Punk'd' pranksters trick 3.6 mil
The MTV hit series Punk'd scored its highest-rated episode yet in its second-season premiere Sunday. The Ashton Kutcher-hosted prankfest drew 3.6 million total viewers, which helped boost the music network's new 9-11 p.m. Sunday Stew block. Punk'd anchored a lineup of three new series that all started strong: Viva La Bam, Wildboyz and One Bad Trip. All three series drew more than 2 million viewers in their premiere episodes. Sister network VH1 also had good ratings news, with I Love the 80s Strikes Back finishing its five-night run with an average of 1.2 million total viewers -- the best showing yet for the I Love ... franchise. Strikes helped boost the debut of two new VH1 series, True Spin and Super Secret TV Formulas.
