Now, I really do feel nostalgia for this game, as I played both the NES version, and the arcade version as a kid. But that's not even the biggest reason on why this game is fantastic. For an old shootem' up game, it has a very very catchy soundtrack. Lots of different power-ups you can use, and with the NES version, you can even customize your planes stats and upgrade them. The bosses are also very extreme, so extreme, it's just hilarious. Also, sure. They didn't have lasers in 1943. I actually used to joke about it. But it's honestly what makes this game stand apart from any others. Unfortunately, many, many games have copies off of this game, and it's predecessor (1942). But in my opinion, 1943: Battle of Midway, is the NES game, and one of the best arcade games you can find.
