A perfect soccer film by Omer Ali Kazma
emirberiker25 November 2004
This film introduces the best soccer club in Turkey, Galatasaray. Galatasaray is a family with clubs coach to players and film shows the team spirit of Galatasaray. The players jokes and scenes before matches (in dressing room) made me exited. Also I've seen Faith Terim ('Emperor' aka 'Signore Terim')'s real face. Film doesn't include a subject but you learn much about team spirit. The main idea is, a team can lose but players never give up and the best example is Galatasaray. Uefa Cup and Super Cup winner Galatasaray shows his perfect performance in Turkish Super League too. Eski Açýk Sarý Desene has a very interesting meaning. Eski Açýk is a name of a grandstand part of the Ali Sami Yen stadium and the name of the film means Say Yellow Eski Açýk. For an information, Galatasaray's colors are red and yellow and grandstands cheer for the colors of Galatasaray. The sentence comes from there. I say film must be seen by soccer fans, you don't need to be a Galatasaray fan, if you like soccer, this film is a great example of a team spirit. Galatasaray is the best team of Turkey and everybody accept it...

good one

the movie is a well-thought one - despite 2002/03 campaign wasn't such a successful one for Galatasaray as 1999/00 (knocked out of 1st group stage in champions league and lost the league to besiktas and finished as runners-up, got beaten in Turkish cup 1/4). but who watches this movie will agree that football mustn't always be based on results. the most important thing is friendship and to enjoy your job. there were (as i remember) 90 hours of video records from pre-match conversations between players in dressing rooms. and they chose the best ones to make it just 90 minutes, it's another success of this movie. it was a hard job to achieve this. and i agree emir, undoubtedly Galatasaray is the biggest and most cultural club in turkey albeit there are some wild fans who says they are galatasaray fans. as by march 2005, the "Eski Açik" was demolished to be reconstructed. eski açik means "means "The Old Uncovered Stand"
