The show first premiered on October 23, 2002.
William Burke worked for Playboy producing erotic thrillers for years. He grew tired of it and wanted to explore some new ideas creatively. So he created and directed an out of pocket television pilot about exploring paranormal activities and haunted places. It couldn't get made in the USA, but CTV offered to produce it in Toronto under the title Creepy Canada, where it ran for three seasons.
