A two reel offering, notable for its splendid spectacular fire effects and its unusually successful presentation of a factory strike. The story of the young hero was of a conventional order and there was never much doubt about what was going to happen. The second reel, however, gets up good suspense and holds it to the end. It was not shown very clearly how the girl came to know about the danger to the board of directors. The opening love scenes in the first reel were attractive. In this film, also, no apparent effort was made to put out the fire, and it seems absurd that the president should grant the increase of wages after the factory had burned.
