As an 80s kid n 90s teen, sources of entertainment were very less for me apart from the rented vhs copies n tv shows on Sundays.

Fireball, Giant Robot, Amazing Spider, He-Man, Duck Tales, Tom n Jerry, etc were the main shows enjoyed by me but for the brain exercise, the only show was Cadbury's Quiz Contest.

I saw this entire television show during the 90s when it used to come on Zee TV n Sony Entertainment Television and Derek O'Brien was the host with his beard n big spectacles. Never saw the Pogo channel, Colors channel n YouTube ones.

The show was considered a gold standard quiz show, where school pride was at stake and the quizzing was dead serious.

I still remember when i won few packets of Maggi Noodles when a different quiz contest was held in my skool. One of the question was, who was the person responsible for the Jalianwalla Baug massacre in 1919. My answer was Commissioner Dyer n the correct answer was General Dyer but i won that round.

As i was born in early 2010s i didn't know about this show because yeah it was already discontinued before i even turned 4.

But recently in about 3 years ago in lockdown my father showed me this show.

I liked it a lot. It was better for me than k.b.c because it is related to gk of middle standards an i am quiet good in this.

But i forgot it but when i was getting ready for a quiz in my school, my father remimded you should watch bournvita quiz contest. Well i got third place but it helped me a lot.

Now as i have rated solid 10 because todays shows just are some reality shows and no quizes due to which children watch cartoons, but yes if it starts agian it would be worth watching.
