(Review is of all three parts)
A serial rapist is on the loose and the police have no solid leads. Fitz is assisting and has provided as best a profile he can with the information provided. The next victim, however, hits very close to home.
A Cracker episode that deals with the sensitive subject of rape. It's the sort of thing that's hard to tackle as it is so emotionally charged and likely to be triggering for someone who's been a victim of it.
However, here the writers manage to craft a great story revolving around a serial rapist that is very empathetic and understanding towards the victims while also demonstrating how people handle it, or don't. Highly engaging as we see it from the victim's perspective and from the side of their friends, colleagues and loved ones. We also have the neanderthal's view, as demonstrated by DS Beck and some other (male) police officers.
An excellent episode and a welcome return to form as the previous 3-parter, while not bad, was rather long-winded and a bit of a slog at times.
