An enhanced version of Subroc 3-D, the Subroc 3-D Super Game, was completed and scheduled for release in 1984 for the Coleco Adam computer but was canceled due both to marketing decisions and poor sales for the Adam. The Super Game version featured music based on
Felix Mendelssohn's "Hebrides Overture'. Coleco frequently used public domain classical music in its video games to avoid paying royalties to composers.
